Things is a good task manager that offers you a simple and flexible environment to manage pending tasks. The only information you have to enter to create a task is a title, some tags, a description and the due date.
Entering the due date is essential for Things to plan work, because it organizes everything attending to the due date.
Projects and areas are two groups which don't require the due date, because they are supposed to be groups of tasks. The main difference between them is that Projects can include tasks, but areas can also include projects.
Finished tasks are moved to LogBook so you can check what you have done previously just by accessing it.
