Logmein is an application that allows you remote access to a computer from any location. It provides complete control of the computer being accessed and supports PDA's and laptops. All you'll need is for both computers to have an internet connection.
Logmein is completely safe. It uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol that lets it encrypt data when it is sent over the internet. Plus, it requires two passwords at the same time: one for the Logmein account, and the other for the destination computer. Passwords are encrypted using variable longitude algorithms that vary from 128 bits to 256 bits.
The application comes with a nice web interface from which you can modify several of the options related to remote control, security, or network configuration.
Although the free version has several options, they do not include file transfer, or remote printing, options that can be found in the pro version.
